Western Governors’ Association (WGA)

The Western Governors' Association (WGA) is an independent, nonprofit organization representing the governors of 19 states and three U.S.-Flag islands in the Pacific.

Through the Association, Western governors work jointly to tackle key policy and governance issues in the region with a focus on natural resource, environmental and economic development issues. WGA also acts as a center of innovation and promotes shared development of solutions to regional problems.

WGA's top priority over the last several years has been addressing energy and climate change issues, including policies to improve energy efficiency.
