Industrial Program Internship

The Alliance to Save Energy is hiring a part-time Industrial Program Intern for May through August 2008 at its Washington, D.C. headquarters. The internship is paid and accompanied by a monthly WMATA transportation stipend. The intern will primarily work on research in support of building and utility issues as they relate to industry in the US.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Supporting work with DOE on their "Save Energy Now" initiative;
  • Work may involve communication with industrial organizations;
  • Research and analysis of DOE emerging technologies;
  • Assisting in report writing;
  • And other duties as necessary.

Required Skills:

  • Communication skills for phone calls and writing;
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel;
  • Responsible and able to work independently;
  • Some technical coursework in engineering, environmental science, etc.
