The Alliance will host an anniversary breakfast on Thursday, September 20th from 9:00 am to 11:00 on Capitol Hill. The breakfast will begin with keynote remarks from former Alliance chair, Senator Tim Wirth, President of the UN Foundation. Senator Wirth will provide a retrospective on the last 30 years of energy efficiency, and insight on the important role efficiency must play in a sustainable future. The breakfast also will feature a panel on the Greening of America from a Federal, State and Local Perspective. Matt Wald with the New York Times will moderate the panel; confirmed speakers include Dan Beard, Chief Administrative Officer of the U.S. House of Representatives, Governor Bill Ritter (D) of Colorado, and Mayor Bob Foster with the City of Long Beach, California.
