Alliance to Save Energy's 30th Anniversary Breakfast

The Alliance will host an anniversary breakfast on Thursday, September 20th from 9:00 am to 11:00 on Capitol Hill. The breakfast will begin with keynote remarks from former Alliance chair, Senator Tim Wirth, President of the UN Foundation. Senator Wirth will provide a retrospective on the last 30 years of energy efficiency, and insight on the important role efficiency must play in a sustainable future.

The breakfast also will feature a panel on the Greening of America from a Federal, State and Local Perspective. Matt Wald with the New York Times will moderate the panel; confirmed speakers include Dan Beard, Chief Administrative Officer of the U.S. House of Representatives, Governor Bill Ritter (D) of Colorado, and Mayor Bob Foster with the City of Long Beach, California.

Online registration for the breakfast is now available. Please contact Audrey Cotton at acotton@ase.org if you have any questions regarding registration or the breakfast in general.

The breakfast is free for Alliance Associates and $100 for all others. Star sponsors of the Awards Dinner will receive 5 complimentary registrations and Shining Star sponsors will receive 10. If your organization is a sponsor of the Awards Dinner, please determine internally who will be utilizing the complimentary passes and e-mail that information to Lauren DeFrank at ldefrank@ase.org. If sponsors would like to purchase additional registrations, you may do so online for an additional $50 per person.

Venue

The Anniversary Breakfast will take place at the Russell Senate Office Building, Room 325. To get to the Russell Senate Office Building by Metro, take the Red Line to the Union Station stop. The Russell building entrance is on the corner of Constitution Ave. and Delaware Ave. NE and is 2-3 blocks south of Union Station.

Food

Breakfast will be provided during the event, allowing participants valuable networking time to meet with Congressional staff and energy leaders.
