Not in a Green Schools District?

We offer many resources to those who want to make their schools Green Schools, even if they are not in one of our funded districts. This is the page where you can find advice for becoming a greener school now, before your school is officially eligible. All these resources are free for your use.

• Sign up for our mailing list and get monthly e-mails of our Update Newsletter to find out what Green Schools and Green Campuses are doing to save energy.

• Get tips for implementing a school-wide efficiency program, and get everyone at school involved.

• Visit www.energyhog.org, where kids can learn to become Official Hog Busters, and adults can learn to save energy and money.

• Read some of our ideas for saving energy in schools.

• Explore links just for KIDS.

• Look up free, multidisciplinary lesson plans, many of which were written by our Green Schools teachers, and all of which are classroom-tested and proven effective.

• Explore teacher links to other energy efficiency and environmental classroom resources.

If you want to be more involved, petition your school board or contact your utility to gauge their interest in funding a Green Schools Program in your district.
