The American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE) is a national association of energy professionals founded and dedicated to ensure the input of African Americans and other minorities into the discussions and developments of energy policies regulations, R&D technologies, and environmental issues. The 1600 members of AABE are organized in 47 chapters located in most of the larger cities across the nation. In addition to programs of community outreach and information dissemination, professional development, and entrepreneur assistance, AABE has a strong, effective program of support for college and university students who are pursuing careers in the energy industries.
