Where: Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago
Who: Alliance President, Kateri Callahan
When: April 16-17, 2009

At the Fifth Summit of the Americas, leaders in the Americas - including President Obama - have gathered to discuss key issues such as climate and energy. Alliance President Kateri Callahan participated in the II Hemisphere Private Sector Forum, a pre-summit event focusing on sector-led prosperity in this region. Here, Callahan discussed best practices for stimulating energy efficiency projects that lead to greater economic security and economic prosperity through sustainable practices. Her presentation looks at the Alliance's host of Watergy programs in Mexico – energy and water development projects that have translated into substantial financial savings for communities in need.
