A longtime champion of energy efficiency, the governor offered his insight into Colorado's plans to implement stimulus resources for energy efficiency projects and programs.
Of particular interest was the governor's patented New Energy Economy, which embraces energy efficiency as the lynchpin of a clean energy future, has created thousands of new jobs and helped establish hundreds of new companies.

Gov. Ritter emphasized the opportunities that clean energy can offer states seeking to boost job growth and strengthen local economies: “Even in these tough economic times, the New Energy Economy is our brightest light, a path forward that is creating jobs, diversifying our energy portfolio and improving energy efficiency all across the state.”
