The Alliance to Save Energy invites individuals, companies, and organizations to enter its 2010 Stars of Energy Efficiency Awards competition. These prestigious awards honor those entities who have demonstrated a significant and tangible commitment to the cause of energy efficiency and/or contribution to the energy security of our nation.

If you would like to submit a nomination for either your own organization or that of another group, company, or individual whom you feel would make an ideal award winner based on their outstanding commitment and leadership in the energy-efficiency field, you must complete a nomination form for one of the following categories:
- Charles Percy Award for Public Service
This is the Alliance’s most prestigious award. It isa presented to an individual in the public or private sector in recognition of an outstanding public service contribution and/or a lifetime commitment to energy efficiency.
- Star of Energy Efficiency Awards
These awards recognize organizations/companies, learning institutions, state offices, and government programs for their efforts to promote energy efficiency domestically and/or overseas.
- "Galaxy" Star of Energy Efficiency
Nominees with more than $150 million in annual revenue..
- "Super Nova" Star of Energy Efficiency
Nominees with less than $150 million in annual revenue.
- "Andromeda" Star of Energy Efficiency
Nominees with less than $10 million in annual revenue.
- "I-Star" Award for Energy Efficiency
The international star of energy efficiency award recognizes the outstanding contributions to energy efficiency achieved through special projects or activities overseas that are led by public or private organizations/companies, learning institutions or government agencies based outside of the U.S. territories.
- “Innovative” Star of Energy Efficiency Award
The Innovative Star award recognizes an emerging technology or service that has the potential to transform a sector of the energy efficiency market but which, given the early stage of the innovation, has yet to generate proven savings.

The deadline for nominations is Friday, March 26, with the early bird period ending Friday, February 12. All nominations submitted before the early bird deadline will receive a 50% discount on the nomination fee.
