U.S.-China Business Association Green Technology Business Trip & Environmental Symposium

The municipal and provincial governments of China are looking for sustainable energy and “Green Manufacturing” expertise to help them reduce emissions and protect the environment. This business trip is designed to help US companies establish contacts and find out about opportunities to do work and projects in China as part of the first GREEN TECHNOLOGY TOUR.

Sponsored by the Chicago-based US-China Business Association, the International Business Center, and GreenWorld/ Skysite, the tour will arrange meetings with municipal officials in five major cities interested in government-sponsored projects to create sustainable energy projects, reduce dependency on oil and coal, and reduce carbon emissions. The 11-day trip includes attendance at the “Green China and Harmonious World” Symposium October 26 in Tianjin, located 50 miles east of Beijing. Attending the symposium will be 12 heads of state, including:

• Wen JiaBao – Chinese Prime Minister
• Tony Blair – former British Prime Minister
• Kofi Annan – former Secretary General, United Nations
