Many U.S. local and regional governments are on the leading edge of the climate issue, forging ahead in areas such as feed-in-tariffs and Property Assessed Clean Energy financing. It is at the local level that many key lessons are being learned regarding successful renewable energy and energy efficiency programs. This webinar will review some of the best practices that were identified as part of a project to share relevant U.S. local-level best practices with China, India and other developing countries. The project was led by the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP).

Join experts and stakeholders for an engaging and timely discussion. Sign up today!

Speakers will include:

  • Maria Ellingson, from REEEP North America, will discuss a forthcoming local-level Compendium of Best Practices report being developed for policy-makers in China, India and other developing countries.
  • Merrian Fuller, with the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory will discuss an innovative financing mechanism called PACE (Property Assessed Clean Energy bonds);
  • Hilary Flynn, from Meister Consultants Group, will discuss feed-in tariffs in the United States and their projected regional impacts; and
  • Glen Brand, Director of the Cool Cities Program at the Sierra Club will present examples of how cities are taking a whole systems approach to becoming low-carbon cities.
