Rep Horsford, Nevada Leaders and National Sustainability Leaders Highlight Path To An Energy-Efficient Future By 2030

Release Date: Friday, February 14, 2014

WHAT: The Alliance to Save EnergyClean Energy ProjectCopper Development Association Inc. and Energy Works LLC are joining Nevada Congressional, government, industry, and non-profit leaders to highlight how city and state governments can support the goal of doubling America’s energy productivity by 2030 through energy efficiency. The event will help lay the groundwork for local policymakers, leaders, business owners, and advocates to adopt the bold, yet achievable goal of implementing advanced energy efficiency measures that save consumers money, help create jobs and maximize our energy potential by 2030.

This event, which is part of the Energy 2030 On the Road series, also aims to educate state and local leaders about the set of bipartisan policy recommendations being advanced by the Alliance Commission on National Energy Efficiency Policy to double energy productivity over the next two decades. If achieved, the Energy 2030 goal could save Americans $327 billion annually by 2030, add 1.3 million jobs to the economy, and reduce carbon emissions by 33 percent.

This “must attend” event for energy efficiency influencers will be open for questions from the audience and media.
