Clayton Crownover

Clayton Crownover recently joined the Southeast Energy Efficiency Alliance as Program Manager. Prior to joining SEEA, he was the Policy Manager and Government Relations Specialist at the Alliance to Save Energy since 2007.

While at the Alliance, Clay led the Alliance’s federal energy management coalition, specialized in orchestrating congressional advocacy, education, and strategy, while also analyzing and recommending short and long-term energy-efficiency policy objectives. He also played an integral part in shaping the Alliance’s energy-efficiency policy messaging activities.

Prior to work at the Alliance, Clay worked on Capitol Hill as a legislative assistant for the then Chairman of the House Natural Resources Committee, Rep. Nick Rahall, and as an aide to Senator Jay Rockefeller IV.

Originally from Stevenson, AL, Clayton holds a bachelor's degree in political science, with a concentration in mediation and conflict resolution, from Auburn University. He also studied Political Management at George Washington University through the Semester in Washington program while living in Washington, DC. He currently resides in Knoxville, Tennessee with his wife of eight years, Jillian, and their two year old son.
