Michael Mills

Michael Mills brings more than 15 years of corporate, public policy and non-profit experience to his role as Executive Director of the Southeast Energy Efficiency Alliance. Along with day-to-day management responsibilities for the organization, Mills also provides its vision, works to grow brand visibility, extend thought leadership on energy efficiency and raise money. Mills owned PR1776, a reputation management firm prior to joining the Alliance and was a 2010 candidate for Georgia Secretary of State. In addition, career highlights include: serving as the southeast regional director of public affairs for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.; working in politics as an aide to former Georgia Secretary of State Lewis Massey and Lt. Governor Mark Taylor; serving as a chief strategist at public affairs agencies around environmental and health care issues; and founding the non-profit Vote for America-Georgia.
