As Director of Media Relations for the Alliance, which she joined in January 2002, Ronnie Kweller secures media coverage of the Alliance and energy efficiency to help U.S. consumers reduce their energy bills and to help the Alliance achieve its public policy objectives.

During her tenure, the Alliance has been featured and its spokespersons quoted in national, regional and local media, including such prestigious outlets as The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, U.S. News & World Report, Newsweek, Business Week, CBS, MSNBC, CNN and National Public Radio.

Ronnie plays a principal role in the Alliance’s strategic home energy campaigns, which help consumers save energy at home and on the road, build awareness of energy efficiency and the Energy Star label and help reduce the nation’s overall energy use. She also has worked on summer electricity reliability campaigns of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), an Alliance Associate.

Prior to joining the Alliance, Ronnie worked for two niche public relations firms and did communications and public policy work for nonprofit organizations in Washington, D.C. She worked as a reporter/editor for the Bureau of National Affairs and began her journalism career at the old Washington Evening Star.

A Washington, D.C, native, Ronnie has a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and a master’s from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
