Kevin Lucas

Kevin Lucas is the former Alliance’s Vice President of Research.

In this role, he helped the Alliance conduct and organize analyses of energy efficiency policies, programs, and technologies that assist in the development of Alliance positions on federal and state legislative initiatives and rulemakings.
Before joining the Alliance in January, 2016, Kevin was the Director of Policy, Planning, and Analysis at the Maryland Energy Administration. In this role, Kevin worked closely with utility, industry, and advocacy stakeholders and state agencies such as the Public Service Commission, Department of Environment, and Office of the Governor to help advance policy goals related to energy and the environment. He also worked with MEA’s Energy Program division to provide technical and analytical insight to assist the implementation of programs that support policies such as the Renewable Portfolio Standard and EmPOWER Maryland. Previously, Kevin worked for Accenture, a technology consulting firm, where he designed and implemented business process solutions for Fortune 500 clients.
Kevin attended Princeton University, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. More recently, Kevin attended the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where he received a master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in entrepreneurship and sustainable enterprise.
