The Alliance Backs House Republicans Push to Safeguard Clean Energy Tax Credits in the Inflation Reduction Act

A group of over a dozen House Republicans, led by Rep. Andrew Garbarino (R-N.Y.), sent a letter to Speaker Mike Johnson (R-Lav.) urging him to protect clean energy tax credits within the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). The letter emphasizes the importance of these credits for driving innovation, investment, and job creation in the energy sector.

While acknowledging concerns about the IRA as a whole, the Representatives highlight the positive impact of the energy tax credits on domestic energy production and the economyv. They argue that repealing these credits could jeopardize ongoing investments and undermine the progress made towards American energy independence.

This letter underscores the growing bipartisan recognition of the crucial role energy efficiency plays in achieving a cleaner, more secure, and prosperous energy future.
