Time To Move Energy Legislation Forward
Statement from Alliance to Save Energy President Kateri Callahan
“The President clearly gets it: increasing energy productivity is essential to rebuilding our economy and our global competitiveness. The good news is that Republicans get it too.
"As we found in the Energy 2030 plan, doubling U.S. energy productivity would create 1.3 million jobs, reduce imports of energy to a mere 7% of our overall use, and save American families over $1000 a year on their energy bills.
"Every day we don’t advance public policies to drive energy productivity is a day we waste energy and we waste money. Congress should join with the President today in the race to a more energy-efficient America."
