Dallas Fort Worth International Airport

Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is a world leader in energy and environmental stewardship within the airline transportation industry.

Currently the world’s third busiest airport, serving more than 59 million passengers and offering more than 900 departures a day to 165 domestic and international destinations, DFW has aggressively pursued the efficient and environmentally friendly use of energy, and is well on its way to becoming one of the “greenest” airports in the world.

DFW has aggressively promoted energy efficiency as a fundamental business strategy since opening in 1974. The integration of energy efficiency into operational practices, new facility designs and retrofit opportunities has produced energy savings of more than 25 trillion BTUs and over $90 million in avoided energy costs.
