FY2019 Funding for the Department of Energy
FY2019 Funding for the Department of Energy
On September 21, 2018, President Trump enacted a small appropriations package, composed of three individual appropriations bills. Among these bills was the Energy and Water appropriations bill, which provides funding for the Department of Energy and, as such, for a majority of federal energy efficiency programs. The enactment of this bill marks the first time since 2009 that the Department of Energy has secured its funding before the start of the fiscal year and also includes increases in funding for most of the energy efficiency programs.
