WASHINGTON – The Alliance to Save Energy released the following statement from President Paula Glover after Senate passage of the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 (IRA), which includes unprecedented investments in energy efficiency. 

According to the DOE's annual U.S. Energy Employment Report released last month, job gains in energy efficiency still outpaced job growth in U.S. employment overall, and efficiency remains one of the largest energy technology sectors, with over 2.1 million workers.

By prioritizing energy efficiency across a broad coalition, we can invest in our planet and meet this defining moment this Earth Day.
